Service Description
Starts June 11 | $85 per week Led by Brenda MacMillan, MS CCC-SLP In this playful and engaging class, kids will explore the world around them—and the world within them. Through hands-on sensory experiences, we’ll playfully explore the concept of interoception, which is the ability to notice and interpret internal signals from the body, like hunger, thirst, the need to use the bathroom, or feeling tired, excited, or overwhelmed. All kids benefit from extra support in understanding these signals. Learning to tune into what their bodies are telling them can help children feel more secure, communicate their needs more clearly, and begin to make sense of big feelings. Each week, we’ll dive into textures, movement, sound, and scent—things like squishing foam, jumping into bubbles, exploring cool or warm materials, and noticing how those experiences feel on the inside. This class offers space to notice, explore, and build trust in their own bodies. Led by Brenda MacMillan, this small-group experience is built on connection, joy, and curiosity. Children will be supported to participate in ways that feel comfortable for them, while gently expanding their awareness and confidence through sensory play. Ages 4-7.
