Service Description
Starts June 10 | $85 per week Led by Brenda MacMillan, MS CCC-SLP This outdoor-based group is for kids who feel most alive with dirt under their nails, mud on their boots, and the freedom to explore. Each week, we’ll head outside to roam the Anchorage Trail—following deer paths, spotting animal tracks and scat, searching for gemstones in the creek, and building with sticks, rocks, and whatever treasures nature offers. We’ll climb, balance, and move our bodies in ways that support confidence, regulation, and awareness, while also leaving space for quiet observation and unstructured exploration. Some days might look like building a dam in the creek or following animal signs deep into the woods. Other days might be slower: sitting under the trees to notice the wind, the birds, or how our own bodies feel when we slow down. This group is rooted in the idea that nature invites presence—and that when kids are given the time, space, and safety to explore, they build not just skills, but a lasting connection with themselves and their environment. Led by Brenda MacMillan, this 8-week class supports nervous system regulation, sensory integration, and relationship-building—but most of all, it gives kids the chance to experience joy and freedom, together, outdoors. Ages 6-10.
